We’ll experience and enjoy this  \n\n\n\nArt dating back thousands of years\, with Tamimi’s contemporary touch. \n\n\n\nThe Mouneh tradition is deeply rooted in the preservation of knowledge\, \n\n\n\nfamily recipes\, love\, and memories. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Dinner Experience\n\n\n\nChef Sami Tamimi has developed a special six-course vegetarian menu inspired by his cookbook *Boustany*\, creating individual recipes for each course.   \n\n\n\nTamimi will be hands-on in the kitchen in Amsterdam for every step\, herb\, and stir. He will guide us through a menu centered on Mouneh\, preservation techniques\, seasonality\, and specialty ingredients\, highlighting each course along with its background and stories.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuests will discover: \n\n\n\n\nAuthentic flavors paired with fine wines and non-alcoholic beverages\n\n\n\nHistoric preservation techniques\n\n\n\nThe culinary relationship between food\, the seasons\, and the land\n\n\n\nStories of the Mouneh family\, traditions\, heritage\, and migration\n\n\n\nThe Revival of Pantry Cooking\n\n\n\nSimilarities between the Shaam region and Amsterdam’s diverse cultures\n\n\n\nThe Joy of Eating Together\n\n\n\nChef Tamimi’s Delicious Signature Cuisine\n\n\n\n\nThrough Sami’s perspective\, the evening builds a bridge between the culinary traditions of the Al Sham region and Amsterdam’s diverse audience\, demonstrating how food preservation connects cultures around the world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Chef Sami Tamimi\n\n\n\nChef Sami Tamimi is a Palestinian chef\, restaurateur\, and cookbook author known for sharing the flavors and stories of Palestinian cuisine and the broader culinary traditions of the Shaam region with audiences around the world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBorn in East Jerusalem\, Sami’s cooking is deeply rooted in the \n\n\n\ntraditions of his homeland\, combining authentic flavors with a \n\n\n\ncontemporary approach to hospitality. He is the co-author of the  \n\n\n\nthe internationally acclaimed cookbook *Jerusalem*\, which won the \n\n\n\nIACP Cookbook of the Year award in 2013 and received the James Beard Award for International Cookbook in 2013. He is also the co-author of *Falastin*\,  \n\n\n\nA celebrated cookbook that explores the richness\, history\, and diversity of Palestinian cuisine \n\n\n\nculture.
