Welcome at A Beautiful Mess Arnhem. In March 2023, we opened a Community Café in Arnhem. A meeting place for residents of the emergency shelter (Nieuwe Kade) as well as local residents: a living room with various activities. Everyone is welcome. It is a nice and safe place where we work together with many different organizations. At this moment, we do not have the facilities to provide you with our delicious food, but we hope to change this soon!

Joint activities

Neighborhood residents and residents from emergency shelters are welcome for a cup of coffee on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the community cafe, between 1 and 5 p.m. In addition, they can participate in the following workshops free of charge.

* Dutch lessons using the method ‘Alternative Ways to learn a Language’

* Dutch conversation class
* English conversation class

* Living and working in the Netherlands (in Dutch, English, Arabic or Tigrinya)

* Barista workshop

* Digital skills for women

Do sign up for the workshops. You can do so with Saba on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 1 and 2 p.m. in A Beautiful Mess’s cafe.

Connection cafe

We host our monthly Connection Cafés, a musical and culinary meeting party. We usually do this somewhere in the neighborhood at a community center. By registration by mail: arnhem@abeautifulmess.nl

Every second Thursday, beginning Jan. 9, 2025.

In addition, A Beautiful Mess staff and residents cook a “Community Meal” together each month for all residents of two shelters.
