We are looking for a Shiftleader who understands and embraces our mission and takes responsibility for leading shifts in our hospitality environment. As Shiftleader, you will be the heart of our operation, ensuring an excellent guest experience, providing team support and keeping daily operations running smoothly.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years working experience in the hospitality industry. It is a plus if you have been in a management position before.

Who we are.
A Beautiful Mess would like to bring connection between two worlds that do not normally meet. Right in the middle of Amsterdam, the city that has always been so welcoming to refugees. The restaurant grew out of the network of the Refugee Company foundation. They help people who have fled to the Netherlands to find their place here.
The Netherlands is different in many ways from Eritrea, Ukraine or Syria, and through A Beautiful Mess, our employees are able to settle in from a safe base, gain rhythm, focus on their future, and move out to a job or education. All those influences make for delicious experimental cuisine.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a shiftleader who understands and embraces our mission. As a shiftleader, you are the heart of our operation. You manage the team, ensure smooth service and keep an overview during busy shifts. Together with your colleagues you will ensure a great experience for our guests.
What will be my tasks?
- Ensuring the propagation of our mission.
- Managing and motivating the team.
- Ensure smooth and hospitable service.
- Solve operational challenges on the shop floor.
