WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
We are looking for an enthusiastic coach to work at our restaurant and in Arnhem. As a coach, you will work both at our restaurant, A Beautiful Mess, in Arnhem and at our Community Café at the COA reception center on Rijnkade, and your role will vary slightly depending on the location.
First and foremost, you’ll support people with refugee backgrounds during and after their work-study program within Refugee Company’s Re-Start program. At our social enterprise, “A Beautiful Mess,” we offer participants the opportunity to gain work experience and work toward economic and social independence. The coach supports participants on their path to this independence and ultimately toward a suitable next step toward employment, education, or volunteer work. In particular, further expanding the employer network and job matching are part of your responsibilities.
In addition, you’ll provide guidance to residents of the asylum seekers’ center who visit our community café. You’ll offer support, listen, encourage, and motivate them, with the goal of helping them get their lives back on track in the Netherlands. As a coach, you can really make a difference!

WHO ARE WE?
Refugee Company supports people with refugee backgrounds in becoming socially and economically independent. We do this through a personalized approach centered on trust, talent development, and community. Together with our social enterprise, A Beautiful Mess, we offer work-study programs and work experience in environments where connection and growth come naturally.
Our locations are more than just places to eat and drink: they are places to network, develop skills, and build a future. Strengthening social networks plays a major role in this, because a network is often the key to new opportunities, employment, and participation in society.
In our cafés and restaurants, people with refugee backgrounds work alongside people who have lived in the Netherlands for some time. In this way, we build inclusive teams and communities where everyone feels seen and welcome and has the opportunity to grow.
With locations in Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Arnhem, we have already helped more than a thousand people find work, pursue education, or take the next steps toward their future.
