Will you be our new Manager of Sales & Marketing?
📍 Amsterdam 32 hours
with regular presence in Arnhem and Utrecht
At Refugee Company and A Beautiful Mess, we build restaurants and meeting places with impact. We create workplaces and opportunities for people with refugee backgrounds and bring diverse people together daily around food, culture and encounters.
For the next phase of our organization, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and hands-on Manager Sales & Marketing who will provide direction for our commercial growth, visibility and positioning.
The role
As Manager of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for the marketing strategy and commercial approach of Refugee Company and A Beautiful Mess.
You will develop plans, set up campaigns and collaborations and ensure that marketing, sales and programming reinforce each other. In doing so, you will manage a small commercial team and work closely with the operations director and restaurant managers.
It’s a role for someone who can think strategically, but is also energized by execution and realization.
What you will do
Marketing & positioning
- Develop and monitor the marketing strategy of
RefugeeCompany and A Beautiful Mess - Strengthen our visibility, brand positioning and community
- Set up and coordinate campaigns, content and online marketing
- Managing external agencies, designers and freelancers
- Monitor results, data and conversion and continuously improve campaigns
Sales & partnerships
- Develop commercial plans and propositions
- Identify new opportunities for events, group bookings and partnerships
- Building and maintaining relationships with corporations, funds, cultural partners and sponsors
- Thinking about programming and commercial activation of our venues
Team & management
- Managing two colleagues within sales and programming
- Structure sales activities, follow-up and planning
- Managing for targets, collaboration and ownership
- Connecting marketing, sales and operations
Who you are
- Entrepreneurial, creative and results-oriented
- Experienced in marketing and commercial development
- Strong in making plans as well as realizing them
- A natural connector and motivator
- Hands-on and independent
- Data-driven and organized
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Experience within hospitality, events, culture or social enterprises is a plus.
